Biography

Joren Decoster (*2007) started playing the piano at the age of five.

 

He is a prize winner of several national and international competitions. He has received awards at the Zurich Music Competition, the Swiss Youth Music Competition, the Riga International Competition for Young Pianists (Latvia) and the Concours Hélène de Montgeroult (Romont).

Furthermore, at the end of 2025 he received 2nd prize at the prestigious MKZ sponsorship award. 

 

Joren receives his musical training at the Zurich Conservatory of Music (MKZ), where he studies in the program for talented young musicians. There he is taught by the Latvian pianist Arta Arnicane.

 

Joren received further musical inspiration from renowned artists such as Beatrice Berrut, Martin Helmchen and Plamena Mangova. He has also performed with the internationally acclaimed violinist Yury Revich.
